About
This blog offers political analyses and relays news related to security and defence issues in East Asia. The region is currently the scene of growing tensions and power competition. At the core of the instability, an increasingly authoritarian and powerful China is challenging the status quo, expanding its influence, and aiming to integrate Taiwan against its will if necessary, possibly using force. Furthermore, North Korea’s ballistic missile and nuclear development programmes remain a major concern.
Exploring and reporting local and regional developments, this blog aims to provide an overview, understanding, and observations of regional political and security issues.
